Chater Bowls Club;New Season Begins Next Tuesday

Chater Bowls Club in North Luffenham, opens its doors to Summer 2019 from 2pm on Tuesday 30th April. This is when we will be holding our first meeting for Club members to limber up for the coming season and offers superb an opportunity for anybody from the village to try their hand  at Sir Francis Drake’s favourite game, with expert advice on hand if required!

Chater is a small and particularly friendly club which, in addition to its weekly get-together, plays friendly matches, usually around twice a week throughout in the Summer, against local clubs in Rutland, Leicestershire, Northants and in and around Stamford.

So if are looking to spend the Summer following an outdoor pursuit why not join in with the excellent company of girls and boys who, whilst being slightly competitive (well who is not!), put the emphasis on enjoying the game of bowls.

We have spare sets of bowls available; all we ask is that you wear flat soled shoes. Remember it’s 2pm on TUESDAY April 30th

I think everybody won something in the raffle and a good time was had by all.

Please note the Chater Bowls AGM will be held at 2 pm on 26th Feb in the Clubhouse on Pinfold Lane.

Non members welcome, so if you have thought about playing bowls outdoor this summer come along and introduce yourself.
