In the first 2 weeks we look at basic drawing. This term we are studying different aspects of drawing figures both on their own or subjects in a painting. Various artists’ work will be explored and a variety of mediums executed

We start the summer session on Monday 28th April at 12.45 pm in the Community Centre at 12.45pm, followed by Monday 12th and 19th May, 2nd and 16th June (change of format due to Bank Holidays).
Our subject will include landscape, street scenes with an emphasis on painting plein air.

Do you have a few hours to spare on a Monday 24th March between 12.45pm and 3.00pm. and would like to join a Art class at the Community Centre to DRAW and PAINT – if so come and join our Group.
We meet for the summer session, both indoors and out, on 28th April, followed by fortnightly days during May and early June. One or two days are held in members gardens during the summer holidays.

We meet again on Monday 10th February at 12.45pm (prompt) in the Community Centre,
followed by meetings on 24th February, 10th and 24th March, and 9th April.
This term we are looking at techniques using water based mediums i.e. watercolour,
gouche and acrylics. The subject for the next few meetings will cover landscape.

The new term started for the Art Group on Monday 30th September in the Community Centre and will be followed by meetings fortnightly – 14th and 28th October, 11th and 25th November, and 9th December.
The first few sessions will concentrate on basic drawing techniques followed by mixed media.
New members from outside the village are welcome to join the Art Group.
All meetings start at 12.45pm and finish at 3.0pm.

This term the Art Group will be meeting Mondays on Jan 14th & 28th, Feb 11th & 25th, March 11th & 25th @ the Community Centre from 12.30 – 3.00pm.
Basic drawing techniques will start the new term but the introduction of using pen and ink and fineliners will produce new qualities to drawing. Later in the term we will look at colours in Winter, studying paintings for inspiration.
