    Just a line to dispel the rumours I have heard about the fire brigade and their response of 40 mins. It took them 19 minutes from the time they mobilised their first engine. Coincidentally two engines were already en route as there was an alarm in Ketton just before the Wheatsheaf call…

      Absolute rubbish I don’t know who you are but I’m John landlord at the wheatsheaf and I can tell you that there was no fire engine on my car park with in 19 mins and as a result had to stand and watch not only my pub but home burn in front of my eyes!!!!!i am currently looking in to how long it was to get the engine and Rutland times and the residents of Rutland will be put right in due course if you would like to speak to me first hand I can be contacted on 07966 281643

          We are working as quickly as possible to reinstate the Wheatsheaf at this stage it is anticipated that the pub will open at the beginning of December!!!! The pub has had a full refurb with everything other than the outside walls and the bar being replaced!!!! We look forward to welcoming everybody back to our new village pub!!!! Look out for press releases and banners on the pub!!!!
