The Club was formed in 1997 by a group of villagers soon after the Community Centre was opened. It proved popular from the start.
Some members play in the North Cambridgeshire League, where they have won numerous national titles but there is no pressure to participate in the League and some people play just for fun.
There is an annual subscription of £10 for adults and £5 for juniors. Tea or coffee and biscuits cost 20p per evening.
