Residents vote in favour of North Luffenham Neighbourhood Plan

Residents in North Luffenham have voted in favour of a Neighbourhood Plan for their area, following a referendum on Thursday 19th October 2023.

The number of people who voted ‘Yes’ in response to the referendum question was 144. The number voted ‘No’ was 20. Total turnout for the referendum was 26.03%.

As the Local Planning Authority, Rutland County Council must formally adopt the Plan within eight weeks of the referendum.

    Hopefully, more North Luffenham residents than the 26.03% quoted, voted in yesterday’s referendum.

    We opted for a postal vote, in favour of the plan.
    Presumably, these votes will also be included in the percentage of residents voting. Otherwise, the turnout is very disappointing.
