Community Award 2025

Do you know of anyone who goes above and beyond for North Luffenham?

We would like to reward those with community spirit by awarding those who are voted by the community with a £50 voucher to use at the Fox pub for a delicious meal and few celebratory drinks.

Nominations are now open with the nominations window closing on the 9th of April. A community vote will then be held from the 10th until the meeting 23rd of April where the winner will be announced. To nominate please fill out the form below and email to: clerk@northluffenham.org.uk

If you are unable to use emails, please contact the clerk via telephone on 01572 368344 or post (4 Greetham Road, Cottesmore, LE15 7DB), with a nominee, their contact details and the reason why you are nominating them. Please also provide your contact details so we are able to let you know if your nominee has been shortlisted.

Devolution: Interim Plans

The Government has asked that Interim Plans are submitted by 21st March. These have been published on the RCC wesite: https://www.rutland.gov.uk/.

Click on the Devolution and local government reorganisation tab and then on Interim Plans where there are documents relevant to Rutland’s preferred option.

Garden Items to give away.

After a shed tidy the following items are no longer required :

 A bonfire dustbin

 Plastic gutter attachments to stop birds 

 2x spray bottles for insecticide.

 2x un-used hanging basket liners 

 Traps for rats 

 Traps for mice 

 Fence wire

 Would prefer to give away than throw away.

REGISTER FOR GREEN WASTE SUBSCRIPTION FROM 31st MARCH

Residents in Rutland will be able to renew and sign up for the 2025 to 2026 green waste subscriptions from the slightly later date of 31 March 2025.

Residents planning to continue their subscription for the upcoming year will receive their normal service throughout April without any disruption.

This year, stickers will not be sent out as they are not needed by those that subscribe. The new built-in technology in our vehicles will now provide all of this information.

From 31 March 2025 you can register via the Green Waste Subscription page. Alternatively, please email greenwaste@rutland.gov.uk or call 01572 758 488.

Breakfast Church 16th March in the Community Centre.

Everyone is welcome to this fun session in the Community Centre.  There will be a craft activity, puppet sketch, singing, teaching and of course breakfast.

 Further Special Council Meeting on Devolution

Rutland County Council has confirmed the date for its next Special Council Meeting to discuss the issue of devolution and local government reorganisation.

The meeting will be held at the Council’s Catmose Offices in Oakham on Tuesday 11 March, as well as being streamed live online. Doors will open shortly before the meeting starts at 7.00pm.
