20th May – 2nd June 2017

A thank you from Nic for supporting cycle4mango

nic lands endI have now turned the corner and am now in the home straight in terms of fund raising – I’ve raised £8000 of my target of £8644 – (£8644 representing £1 for every orphan who is registered with the Mango Tree Orphan Support Programme).

I would like to thank the very kind supporters of my ride in the village who took an interest in the ride, and helped me towards that target. I am especially grateful to Steve Marson who gave me so much technical support and advice before I set off!

The Mango Tree has been blessed by a film director who is a keen supporter and who went out to Kenya to visit the work of the charity and made a film for us.

How Far will your Penny go?

Penny Farthing

Having promoted the Rutland Ride and Stride in the Rutland Times this week on my Penny Farthing, I have decided to enter riding one and will be starting at the church 10.00 am on 14th September.

I have set up a just giving page, if anybody would like to contribute.

Active Rutland Walking and Cycling Festival 2013

Active Rutland Walking and Cycling Festival

The Active Rutland Walking and Cycling Festival is a celebration of Rutland’s beautiful landscape and the many walks and cycle routes in and around Rutland.

The walks and cycle rides are all led by qualified volunteer walk and bike leaders, making this festival free!

The first week of walking (18-25 May) offers a variety of different length walks at different times and locations around Rutland.

The second week (26 May – 1 June) will offer the 7 sections of the Rutland Round over those 7 days.

Over the two weeks there will be a ride to suit everyone, ranging from family to nature rides and even a led cycle ride around the whole of Rutland Water, including the Hambleton Peninsular.
