The Fox – Take out menu
Following the governments decision today that all pubs now need to close to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus and therefore the impact on the NHS.
As a consequence the Fox will now be closing, however Jason is going to be offering a take out service from tomorrow, Saturday 21st March 2020

Social Distancing reduces the spread of the Coronavirus and lessens the impact on the NHS
What is social distancing?
Social distancing measures are steps you can take to reduce the social interaction between people. This will help reduce the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19).
They are:
- Avoid contact with someone who is displaying symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). These symptoms include high temperature and/or new and continuous cough
- Avoid non-essential use of public transport, varying your travel times to avoid rush hour, when possible
- Work from home, where possible. Your employer should support you to do this. Please refer to employer guidance for more information
- Avoid large gatherings, and gatherings in smaller public spaces such as pubs, cinemas, restaurants, theatres, bars, clubs
- Avoid gatherings with friends and family. Keep in touch using remote technology such as phone, internet, and social media
- Use telephone or online services to contact your GP or other essential services
Everyone should be trying to follow these measures as much as is pragmatic.
We strongly advise you to follow the above measures as much as you can and to significantly limit your face-to-face interaction with friends and family if possible, particularly if you:
- are over 70
- have an underlying health condition
- are pregnant
This advice is likely to be in place for some weeks.
Wash your hands with soap and water more often for 20 seconds
Parish Council Meetings
Following guidance from Central Government actual Parish Council meetings along with committees and working groups are to be suspended for the time being due to CORVID-19.
Central Gov’t is currently working on new legislation to allow future meetings to be held virtually. This means that the NLPC meeting scheduled for 23rd March is cancelled. Further information about the Annual Parish meeting scheduled for April and the Annual Parish Council meeting in May will follow, though at present it is likely both will be postponed to later in the year.

Covid-19 / Coronavirus – Post Office deliveries
Update from Royal Mail – Signing for and receiving items
Royal Mail are advising “In order to protect both our people and customers as much as possible, we will not be handing over our hand-held devices to customers to capture signatures. Postmen and women will instead log the name of the person accepting the item. This will apply to all deliveries that require a signature.”
Additionally, for all customers (including those who are self-isolating) where we need to deliver any parcel that won’t fit through your letterbox, we will place your item at your door. Having knocked on your door, we will then step aside to a safe distance while you retrieve your item. This will ensure your item is delivered securely rather than being left outside.
