Notice of Referendum
A referendum is to be held on Thursday, 19th October 2023 to decide on
the question below:
‘Do you want Rutland County Council to use the neighbourhood plan for the
Parish of North Luffenham to help it decide planning applications in the
neighbourhood area?’

Huge thanks to all those that came out to support & help with our event & raise money for Parkinson’s Uk.
Many went home with clothes, shoes, bags & a new shade of lipstick after enjoying pastries & cake.
The total so far is over £400.

Art Exhibition in North Luffenham: Open Studios
Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th from 11am to 4pm.
North Luffenham Hall: Please use the entrance in Chapel Lane. There is no charge for entry.
Local artist, Gillian Durno has an exhibition of her work.

Bins not collected
Due to roadworks/blocked access Biffa were unable to empty the grey bins on Chapel Lane, Moor Lane and Digby Drive in North Luffenham yesterday. They will keep trying until access is available.
Please leave the bins out until they are collected.

There are spaces on the Block Printed Tote Bag workshop on Sunday 6th August from 1 – 3.30pm if anyone would like to join in?
£25 per person as usual, all material supplied, no experience necessary.

A47 will be closed Monday 24th and Monday 31st July at Wardley
Planned roadworks due to take place on 26th and 28th July on the A47 has now been moved forward to take place on Monday 24th and Monday 31st July due to bad weather forecasts.
Surface dressing of the A47 near Wardley will take place from 8am – 5pm on both Monday 24th and 31st July, meaning the road will be closed during these times and diversions will be put in place. To view live maps of diversions please go to www.one.network

Agenda NLPC Meeting
RCC Public Transport Team in North Luffenham Today
Rutland County Council’s Transport Team’s next mobile drop-in sessions are being held today, Thursday 13th July. Residents will have the opportunity to have their say on public transport in the area.
The drop in sessions on Thursday 13th July will be held at:
- Manton 10.00 am – 10.30 am (Bus stop on Lyndon Road by Stocks Hill)
- Edith Weston 11.00 am – 11.30 am (Bus stop on Manton Road by the Wheatsheaf)
- North Luffenham 12.00 pm – 12.30 pm (Bus stop on Pinfold Land)
- South Luffenham 1.00 pm- 1.30 pm (Bus stop on Stamford Road)
All feedback will help towards the work taking place around the transport network review.
Anyone can call in and have a chat to share ideas on local public transport.

North Luffenham Internet Connectivity Restored
The problem with the Internet connection to North Luffenham has been resolved. If you are still having issues connecting to the Internet, please contact your Internet provider for an update

BT are working on the issue but the problem appears to be complex
According to the engineer working on the local connection cabinet they have replaced several components without resolving the problem and he could not estimate when service would be restored.
