As you can see there have been 12 reports of Burglary other than dwellings on the beat so far this month, which consist of sheds, garages & stables, whereby power tools and gardening equipment were stolen and 1 burglary dwelling. We are trying to target offenders, carrying out police patrols in the areas affected and liaising with neighbouring police forces.

We are urging residents to review their home security, especially their sheds and outbuildings.

Our current Problems solving plans are tackling burglary related crime in Ketton and hare coursing along the A47 corridor villages between Uppingham and Barrowden.

Last month we held the launch of Leicestershire and Rutland Rural Watch, which tackles rural crime. Please visit its website, via the below link and familiarise yourself with it. It contains rural crime updates and a whole host of crime prevention advice.

North Luffenham ballerina on front of “Rutland Living”

“Residents of North Luffenham will recently have received their copy of RUTLAND LIVING.  The front cover of that Magazine shows Nicky Morris (of North Luffenham) leading her dance class and the article inside headed “Silver Swans” tells of the excellent work she has done in bringing ballet / dance to the more mature ladies.  Nicky is a highly talented ballerina and is now making dance available to a wider audience.  We in North Luffenham should be very proud of her”
