North Luffenham Garden Club

Stamford Horticultural Society are holding their Spring Horticultural Show featuring Flowers, Produce and Handicrafts on SAT 13TH APRIL 2019 and would welcome entries from anyone interested.

If anyone would like to enter the show, please take your exhibit to the United Reformed Church, Broad Street, Stamford, from 8.00 am – 11.00 am on the day. The show is then open for viewing from 2 – 4.00 pm

Villager reports stranger on patio.

On Monday 18th of March a resident of the village found a stranger on her patio. The man was asked if there was any problem, replied in a well spoken voice and left. There was no vehicle to indicate, such as a delivery driver, as to why he should be at the property. The incident has been reported to the police and villagers are asked to be vigilant to any further sightings.

If you see a crime taking place or something suspicious please call 999 noting as much detail as possible including time, location, descriptions, direction of travel from the scene, make and model of any vehicles and if possible any registrations. An Invitation to Thursford Spectacular Christmas Show

Apologies for using the ‘C’ word even before Spring has come. However we have just received the invitation below:

The largest Christmas show in the country! Set in the magical surroundings of mechanical organs and fairground carousels, a cast of over 130 performers deliver an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety.

This is your opportunity to join Wakerley & Barrowden WI members, partners and friends for the 2pm matinee performance on Monday 18th November, leaving Barrowden at 10am to travel to Thursford in Norfolk, returning at approximately 8pm. Non members and gentlemen are very welcome to join us.
There are a few remaining tickets left at £52 which include luxury coach travel.

Healthy Rutland Grant Scheme

The grant scheme aims to encourage project submissions from the community, voluntary and other civic society sector which are designed to improve the health and wellbeing for the people of Rutland. Applications from such groups are required by the 29th March 2019

Annual Parish Meeting: Monday 18th March 2019 @ 7pm

Please note the change of date for this years Annual Parish Meeting which is now to be held on the above date at the Community Centre.

The change is due to the forth coming Parish Elections on the 2nd May as we needed to avoid restrictions being placed on the meeting due to Purdah. An agenda for the meeting will be issued shortly

Due to some existing allotment holders deciding to give up their allotments, we currently have a a couple of vacant plots.
