Please pick up after your dog and do not let your dog loose on the farmland.

Church Bell Ringing

A few weeks ago the bells were inspected to make sure all was safe and were rung recently. Apparently a few people were concerned that all was not well. It is pleasing to report that parish life has continued on as normal.

So, please just enjoy and don’t be alarmed when the bells are rung again on Tuesday 21st February between 7.30pm – 9.00pm.

Correction

As you may have realised the Carol Service in the church is on the 22nd December and not, unless there has been a fundamental change in the laws of physics, on the 22nd November. It has been corrected on the website.

Carol Service in the Church

The North Luffenham Carol Service will take place in the Church on Thursday 22nd December at 6.00 pm.

Please do come to the village carol service in the church; due to an irreparable breakdown of heating in the church it was advertised in the Benefice Magazine as taking place on The Oval. However, there isn’t much heating on The Oval either and the church would protect from the elements.

There will be a warm welcome, dress up warmly, sing lustily and celebrate with words and music the birth of Jesus!

Consultation on Officers’ Mess Site Edith Weston

Please come and give your views on development at St. George’s Barracks

Date: 22nd November from 5.30 pm until 8.00 pm in Edith Weston Village Hall

This drop in session is to consider proposals for the Officers’ Mess Site at Edith Weston as a stand alone site. However it has implications for any redevelopment of the rest of the St. George’s Barracks. That it is why it is important to give you views at this initial consultation

Healthwatch Rutland Dementia Project

It is so important that we hear people’s experiences of living with dementia and that of their families and carers. This work will feed into the development of the Rutland Dementia Strategy which will hopefully lead to improvements for Rutland people.

Please do not trespass on private lands

The owners of the Water Gardens and fields below to the south have reported an increase in people trespassing on their land. They also report dogs being let off leads and dog mess not being picked up.

The Water Gardens and fields are private property and should not be entered unless given permission by the owners.

Residents are asked to keep to the footpaths, keep dogs on lead and clear up after them.

Breast Cancer Now

The fundraising event for Breast Cancer Now raised £240.40.

Many thanks to all who helped make this event possible and support the work of this charity.
