Safer Rutland Partnership – Community Events

Rutland’s community safety partnership is hosting two market day events for residents to come along and discuss any concerns they may have about community safety in their local area.

The Safer Rutland Partnership is a group made up of local agencies, including Rutland County Council, Leicestershire Police and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service. The partnership works together, and with local communities, to reduce crime and promote safety throughout the county.

The first community safety event takes place at Oakham Market on Wednesday 13 April, followed by Uppingham Market on Friday 29 April. Rutland County Council’s Community Safety team will be joined by representatives from Leicestershire Police, the Council’s Road Safety team and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, as well as the health and social care organisation Turning Point. Residents will be able to ask questions and get helpful information about crime prevention, ways to keep safe and how to report any safety concerns where they live

Reminder – Saturday 2nd April for Coffee, Cake & Chat

It has been a rather strange two years, with restrictions on a lot of our usual activities and many people have missed the social interactions that are usually part of their everyday life. North Luffenham is a lovely village, with a lot of history and having village events & clubs enables us to develop a sense of community and friendship.

Please come along to our village ‘get together’ and make new friends, meet old friends, all while enjoying delicious homemade cakes & biscuits! There will also be coffee, tea and a variety of fruit & herbal teas available. The room is well ventilated and sanitiser will be available.

There is no entry charge for this event but cash donations will be given to the Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal.

For anyone needing assistance, help is available to get to the community centre.
