An important request to everyone from wildlife and animal organisations

As temperatures exceed levels that our wildlife is used to, especially over the next few days, could we ask people to please leave out bowls of water in our gardens and allotments to help them. It’s also particularly important to leave bowls of water on the ground and in accessible places overnight for hedgehogs and other wildlife to find.

Another important reminder from the RSPCA regarding domestic animals is to please remember not to walk your dogs, especially not on hard (potentially very hot and dry) surfaces, during the heat as this could cause heat stroke or prove fatal.
