Unfortunately the Village Working Party scheduled for Saturday 12th September has been postponed, a new date will be published as soon as it is known.
Apologies to all those who were planning to take part
Hi
the Village Working Party day scheduled for Saturday 12th September has had to be postponed.
Apologies to all those who were looking forward to a therapeutic tidy up
Have you ever looked around the village and thought, “I wonder who tidied that up”, or seen an area that was becoming a bit bedraggled and thought “someone needs to sort that out, I wonder who looks after it”
The answer on both occasions is quite possibly the village working party – a group of volunteers who gather when necessary to tidy up some of the less loved corners of the village and maintain some of the nicer spots we appreciate
Next opportunity to take part in this social activity will be on Saturday 12th September, and so if you are happy to undertake some basic maintenance – weeding, painting, litter picking etc to help maintain the look of North Luffenham, and have some time you are willing to donate on the day, then contact Charles Cade or meet at the Cricket Pavillion at 9am on the Saturday morning.
The next meeting of North Luffenham Parish Council will be on Monday September 7th 2015 at 7-30 pm in the Community Centre and the agenda and supporting papers are shown below

The Parish Council are reviewing the annual bonfire and firework display and is canvassing the village to obtain opinions on the event and input on how it may be improved.
A reminder if you have been intending to complete the online survey, or return the paper versions that were distributed throughout the village, is that the closing date is 25th June.
To enable us to take your views into account, you can click on the link to complete the online Firework Survey . Paper surveys can be returned to The Fox or 11 Digby Drive
The Parish Council are reviewing the annual bonfire and firework display and is canvassing the village to obtain opinions on the event and input on how it may be improved. We have already sought feedback from a number of residents following the displays of the last 2 years.
As a result of this, we anticipate using fewer rockets in the display, in favour of alternative fireworks. This will reduce the risk of high winds affecting the display and increase control over the direction taken by individual fireworks.
We intend to manage the bonfire more carefully this year and make good the damage to the grass as quickly as possible post the display.
We would be grateful if you would spend a few minutes completing the questions in the Firework Survey to enable us to take your views into account.
***This survey is now closed***
