This term the Art Group will be meeting Mondays on Jan 14th & 28th, Feb 11th & 25th, March 11th & 25th @ the Community Centre from 12.30 – 3.00pm.
Basic drawing techniques will start the new term but the introduction of using pen and ink and fineliners will produce new qualities to drawing. Later in the term we will look at colours in Winter, studying paintings for inspiration.

North Luffenham Garden Club – next meeting this Thursday 10th January @ 7.30pm in the Community Centre when guest speaker Ann Bird who is a director of the Royal National Rose Society will be speaking about Roses.

Our last practise of the year will be held next Tuesday 20th November, at 7.30 pm. I have left the muffles on. See you there, hopefully.

Our next big service at St. John the Baptist is on the 11th November for the Remembrance Day service, for which I have to half muffle the bells. This also gives me the chance to have a close look at the bells and make sure that there is no obvious faults. Not the easiest of jobs to lie underneath them to strap muffles on the clappers, not the cleanest either.
The Chater Community Choir will be performing a winter concert in Empingham church ‘Not Just Christmas’ on Friday 7th December at 7.30pm and we will be joined by the Beaufort Wind Ensemble. Proceeds will go to the ME Association and Fibromyalgia UK.
